Getting a bit MonChiChi up in this (the) joint

Without tweezers, scissors, or razors the ladies really struggle at the jail. Although threading is very popular, they are not provided thread and only come across it by picking at the seams of their orange suits. So thread is very coveted and they really need a friend to de-thatch their brows and chins and whatnot. This leaves the less popular girls a bit worse for the wear. Threats often include:  "You want your other brow done? Then shut up."

And these services can only be provided on the sly. So naturally, it often takes place in my classroom. One guard is particularly vigilant about it and literally jumps into place to look in the window in hopes of catching anyone in the act, so I try to discourage it but mostly let it go on. But Lisa S. has really been on my shit list and yesterday I tried to put a stop to her grooming session.

"But I have sentencing tomorrow."

Really? Judges takes this in to consideration?

Fortunately, there are always enough drop outs of the beauty school variety to plait, twist, corn row, and French or Swedish braid as the occasion demands.

Somehow I bought Almond milk instead of soy. Even if it's awful, I will drink every drop. Because if David had come home with it, I'd HAVE to say: "Really?" Of course, it would be clear that I meant "can't you read?"
