So where does velvet come from? I can readily understand the synthtic stuff. But before we started messing around with natural ingredients how did it happen? I always imagine Henry VIII's undergarments as velvet. Reds and purples if you must know.

You ask the best questions. Reading around (because, yeah, now I want to know too), it appears that a fabric is termed velvet because of its production, rather than its organic content. Velvet can be made out of various fibers, just looped and cut and tufted into the form. I imagine Henry's velvet underpants were made of silk.

I imagine they were made of the delicate velvet membrane (that’s composed of blood vessels which feed an ungulate’s antlers the minerals and vitamins needed to build up the bone and stimulate healthy antler growth). Antlers only grow for about four months, and after that, the velvet is shed, so my guess is that Henry’s flunkies gathered baskets of velvet from the forest then dyed it in vats of sumac and beets (for red) and pokeweed and blackberry (for purple) with a pinch of salt and vinegar as a fixative. It was probably a bit itchy, so eventually, yes, Henry went with silk.

Most excellent guess. Deer actually rub their antlers on trees because the velvet is so itchy. But then they eat the velvet, so it's very difficult to find. But I guess if my king told me to follow a herd around, I would do it.

The flunkies had to be right quick, not only because the deer ate their own velvet, but because porcupines also have a hankering for the fuzzy stuff.

For some food allergies it’s as simple as not eating the food anymore. Other food allergies are harder to diagnose and harder to avoid. You should see a doctor that specializes in allergies. good

The person is slowly getting used to cars, mostly to the news, which are tied with the past. Either it is its manufacturer or it is its design but they have something in common. Nowdays, as concerns "alived" cars, they are mostly sport cars. The "Fathers" of today?s followers was somehow special for their age, they had something inside themselves what is alived to this times. Why had it been constructing cars which have their rootes in 50-ties, 60 –ties and 70 – ties. People know how to honour this jewel which survives even 50 years and therefore these cars are so exceptional. What do the years 1968-1973 and 2006 have in common? The only one thing, the collocation Opel GT!
